St Matthew's Sports Day

This year the sports days for KS1 and KS2 were very different. The KS1 Sports Day had a more competitive element added to the events where the children scored points for their efforts. Each team was also led by a young helper from the Sports Day Organising Committee which consisted of KS2 children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.
The KS2 Sports Day contained real Olympic events including the javelin, the shot put, sprinting, hurdling and the triple jump. Each member of the Organising Committee had their own event to run where they awarded the competitors points based on how well they did in the event.
All the points have been added up and the winning house will be announced soon!
