
Petsavers is a British based association that is dedicated to improving the health of pets, helping to diagnose, treat and cure disease. Petsavers aim is to provide vets with a better understanding of the illnesses that affect pets, finding cures for diseases and allowing practitioners to administer the best treatments ensuring pets enjoy longer and healthier lives. The charity itself has funded numerous studies into the treatments of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, arthritis, heart disease and many more. Further clinical studies which have received Petsavers support include anaesthesia and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, parasitology, diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, dermatology, pathology and genetics. It is important to note that Petsavers does not fund any research that involves the use of experimental animals.
