FORT stands for Friends Of Oncology And Radiotherapy. We are a small local Registered Charity working with Oncology Departments in the region, currently in St. Marys Hospital.
In the past FORT-Cancer has refurbished a Cancer Ward, funded a new Day Care Centre and is this year raising money for a Papillon 50 machine that treats Rectal Cancer. This machine is expected to be installed into the new Queen Alexandra Hospital in June 2010.
The next FORT-Cancer Event will be Girls Nite Out, which is in essence is an Anne Summers party at Southsea Fire Station at 7.30pm on July 10th. For other future Events please see our Calendar of Events on AboutMyArea and please do call us should you have any questions or queries. 02392 796 515.
If you would like to do something adventurous, we can organise sponsored skydives, abseiling, cycle rides, horse riding, and not necessarily in this country, for example FORT-Cancers Manager Malcolm Chewter will be cycling across India in March 2010.
Should you wish to make a kind Donation, cheques can be made payable to FORT-Cancer Charity and posted to:
