It is time to start thinking about the Milton Keynes Summer Camp, once more run under the expert eye of Soma Singh.
The camp this year will run 20th - 22nd August, at Leon Leisure Centre in South Milton Keynes, 10am to 4pm each of the 3 days, there are also of early bird and late owl sessions.
Our lead coach, moving into his 3rd year of supporting our Summer Camp has had a distinguished hockey career with plenty to show off about if he wished to...
The highlights of his playing career...
- Won 65 England Outdoors International caps
- Won 14 England Indoors International caps
- Won 66 Great Britain International caps
- Won a total of 190 International caps
- Captained England
From a coaching point of view...
He has won national leagues with
- Bracknell ladies HC
- Hampsted
- Westminster HC
- Old Loughtonians
And he was Assistant Coach to Ireland Senior Men in the 2004 European Cup
The ethos of Milton Keynes Summer Camp is first and foremost, Fun.
The 3 day camp will touch on numerous aspects of the game of hockey, but will focus on individual skills, with game play ability and awareness coming in a close second place. Drill style training will be kept to a minimum.
Alongside Soma, there will be a dedicated team of coaches, with experience of playing and/or coaching at a high level.
- Guide ages are U10 - U14
- The camp is open to girls and boys, and even goalkeepers!
- Shin Guard, gum shields, and stick are required.
The cost of the event will be - £100
