This year, after Milton Keynes first full season at Emerson Valley, the Sevens in it`s 36th year have been mixed with a variety of events including live music from 6 different groups, MK cheerleaders, and throughout the day demonstrations from MK Korfball and MK Lions.

The sevens tournament itself attracted 20 teams, the local teams being Amptill, Dunstablians, Leighton Buzzard, Cranfield and the host club Milton Keynes. After the initial group stages the following clubs emerged to move on to the final stages, depending on their positions 1st to 5th in each group, there being 5 cups and trophies to play for.

In 5th place Milton Keynes topped the tale enders winning the Beer Cup

In 4th place Milton Keynes 2nds beat Wellingborough to win the PXV Sports Wooden Spoon, sponsored by "PXV Sports."

ln 3rd place Laurentions Racing Snakes beat Leighton Buzzard, to win the Domestique MK Bowl, sponsored by "Domestique Cleaning Services"

In 2nd place Trojan 7`s beat BRM to win the The Bluefin Insurance Plate, sponsored by "Bluefin Insurance"

The day was a complete success for the club and the Hemingway sevens will be back next year in it`s new format.
