  • New Mini FootGolf Course Now Available at Sewerby Hall and Gardens

    A new mini FootGolf course is now available at Sewerby Hall and Gardens. Taking place on an undulating five-hole course, charges are £2 for adults and £1 for children. To take part in this activity, visitors need to call at the pay box at the top of the car park where payment can be made and a ball and scorecard collected.

  • Appeal for Information - Bridlington

    A burglar opened an insecure door at a semi detached bungalow in Matson Road, Bridlington and used bolt croppers to cut the security chain. Once inside the thief entered the hall where there were two handbags and stole two purses, one from each bag and made off with the property.

    Parents and carers of children starting primary school in September have been told which school their child will be attending. This year, East Riding of Yorkshire Council received 3,084 applications for places at infant and primary schools. 98.6 per cent got places at one of the three schools named on their application forms.

  • Flamborough Lighthouse Closed for Maintenance

    Work with young offenders in the East Riding has been praised in a new report by HM Inspectorate of Probation. The report follows an inspection of the East Riding of Yorkshire Youth Offending Service. It says the service should be proud of the ‘substantial progress’ that it has made since a previous inspection in 2010.
