F1 Star Lewis Hamilton Drops In To Open Mercedes Driving Academy At Silverstone

F1 star Mclaren Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton dropped into Silverstone today
Mclaren Mercedes driver and former F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton dropped in by helicopter to Silverstone today to officially open the Mercedes Driving Academy that is now based at the circuit.
Lewis Hamilton is a Mercedes ambassador and three years ago opened a similar school for Mercedes at Brooklands - today it was Silverstone's turn.
School children were deilghted to have a question and answer session with Lewis who was very relaxed only days after competing in his favourite Grand Prix at Monaco around the streets of Monte Carlo.
The new building was no stranger to Lewis though, it had been one of their Formula One paddock buildings that travelled the world.
Lewis said, "Silverstone has a special place in my heart, the first time I drove an F1 car was here."
