Two Women Have Lucky Escape As Falling Tree Narrowly Misses Their Car In Rugby

Two women had a very lucky escape as a falling tree narrowly missed their car on Corporation Street, Rugby.
At approximately 1pm on Sunday afternoon, two women from Rugby were counting their lucky stars, after a falling tree had narrowly missed crushing their car on Corporation Street, Rugby.
Lottie Colbourne, and passenger Shelley Martin, were travelling on Corporation Street, when high winds felled the large tree.
Luckily the trunk of the tree missed the car, but the vehicle was pinned down by branches of the tree which landed on the car roof.
The carriageway was blocked in one direction as the emergency services attended the scene, and removed the tree, and debris.
Another Rugby Driver, Hasan Ahmet was following just behind when the tree fell right in front of him, causing him to make an emergency stop.
