Another new square for Kings Heath town centre?

Another community venture is aiming to change the face of Kings Heath High Street by creating a public open space with seating and a place for a feature Christmas tree.
The New Life Baptist Church, which has already opened up the front of its building and created a coffee bar for local shoppers, is now planning to landscape its ‘front garden'.
However the plans depend on public support and getting plenty of returns of a consultation questionnaire is key to winning lottery funding for the project.
The Baptist Church plans follow a much grander scheme now taking place alongside All Saints at the junction of the High Street and Vicarage Road. Other ideas being mooted are a public square at the Parade - first used as an event space for the Kings Heath Big Christmas Party last weekend - and a small open space in front of Kings Heath Library.
Download and print the questionnaire here. It has to be returned by 12 December and the coffee bar will give you a half price coffee for your trouble.
