A street-sweeper in Kings Heath town centre was taken to hospital this morning after being in collision with a bus.
The accident happened on the High Street just before 8.30am. A teenage girl on the bus was also taken to hospital with a minor back injury.
Two ambulances and an incident support officer were called to the incident that disrupted rush hour traffic.
"A man who was operating a street-sweeping cart at the time had a minor arm injury. A passenger, a 16 year old girl, on the bus had hurt her back; also a minor injury. Both were taken to Selly Oak Hospital for further assessment and treatment," said a West Midlands Ambulance spokesman.
"Fortunately no-one was seriously injured in this incident although there was more significant damage to the bus and the cart."
