Get your film-making talent noticed next month as Seven in Chapel Allerton hosts its annual Short Film Festival. After the massive success of the first festival the arts centre is giving budding film-makers from around the city another chance to showcase their creative talent with a short film encompassing all their creative flair.

The competition is open to all ages and genres. Films can be documentary, drama, music, animation, art film or any other appropriate genre, and with free entry you can send in as many entries as you like.

Selected films will be shown on at Seven on Wednesday 24 March, with the successful film-makers being given the opportunity to introduce their film and take part in a discussion held after the viewings.  Tickets for the festival are £5 (£3.50 concession), but free to successful entrants.

Films must be on CD or video and be between one and 12 minutes long. Entries should be sent to Seven at 31A Harrogate Road, Leeds LS7 3PD, the closing date for entries is 12 March.

All films shown will be selected by a panel of judges and marked on five areas: content originality, production, post-production, image and sound quality.

Seven Film shows art house, foreign language and selected mainstream films every Monday at 8pm.
