Holidays at Home Event in Ramsbottom
| Published: 13th July 2012 11:33 |
On Sunday 15th July the Friends of Nuttall Park will be holding a Holidays at Home event (1940s style if you wish to dress accordingly) to bring together the local community and to raise funds for additional play equipment in Nuttall Park.
The event will run from 2 - 5pm but come earlier, bring a chair or sit on the grass and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Delicious Refreshments will be on sale in the Ranger Base and there will be other food, drinks, ice cream and candy floss for you to enjoy.
Free Car Parking will be available in the two car parks and at Cormar Carpets and TNT car parks in Ramsbottom just along from Aldi (signposted).
Entry is free so bring a chair or a rug and enjoy a picnic as you listen to Tottington Brass Band, try your luck on the coconut shy, guess the weight of the rocks, orienteering challenge and much more. Children can enjoy a donkey ride, Punch and Judy show and burn off some energy on the hay bale stack.
We hope the weather will be kind to us but come along whatever the weather and you will have a super time just as they did in the 1940s when people could not afford to go away for a holiday.
