Pike Staying At Gosport
Mark Hook has denied reports linking his in-demand manager Alex Pike with a switch to the vacant AFC Totton post.
Pike, who led Gosport Borough to promotion to the Southern League Premier Division via the play-offs with victory away to Poole Town on Monday, has been subject to speculation that he could be Stuart Ritchie's successor at Totton, who recently left to join Blue Square Bet South's Havant & Waterlooville.
But Hook has moved fast to quash such rumours, with the chairman adamant that Pike will remain at Privett Park next season to help them towards another successful year.
Survival Hero Axed
New Havant & Waterlooville bosses Stuart Ritchie and Sean New have wielded the axe upon survival hero Joe Dolan - just ten days after the defender fired the Hawks to safety with his injury-time winner on the last day of the season against Staines Town.
With results elsewhere on the season finale meaning Havant had to win their own game or else face relegation, the central defender held his nerve to ensure survival for the Westleigh Park side and send supporters in pure euphoria.
However new manager Ritchie has deemed Dolan surplus to requirements for this upcoming term, and has released him from their books.
