![]() | A successful tennis programme is happening again this year supported by Rother District Council, Bexhill Schools Consortium, Sussex Lawn Tennis Association, SKIL, Mastersport & Play and John O'Connor. This will see up to 100 children being given the opportunity to take part in coaching sessions and attend the Ladies International Tennis Event at Eastbourne. All Bexhill Consortium Schools are involved, with older students from Bexhill High and St Richards acting as mentors to younger pupils from the Primary Schools. To find out more........ |

Bexhill Runners in conjunction with Rother District Council are extending their current Seafront Series to include a Bexhill Community Fun Run on the evening of Wednesday July 30th and a Poppy Half Marathon on Sunday 9th November. |

![]() | New Role for Rother's Standards Committee Members of the public concerned about councillors' conduct can now make complaints direct to Rother's independently chaired Standards Committee. Previously, anyone wishing to complain about the conduct of elected members had to report their allegations to the Standards Board for England in Manchester, who would decide whether or not to investigate. The Government has now placed this responsibility with the relevant local authority, with the Standards Board's role moving towards one of advice and support. Click for full story

The Eastbourne Scottish Pipe Band will be entertaining at the up and coming Bexhill Hospital Garden Party on Sat 14th June. The band have supported the League of Friends of the Bexhill Hospital at this annual event for many years now. The band will be playing a selection of pipe and drum music from 1pm.
