Peg down your dream tent at free Bristol Tent Show

BRISTOL folk looking for a tent for the summer are invited to a free Bristol Tent Show this May (2019) to see one of the largest displays in the South West.
A selection of different tents will be on show from May 18 until 19 at St Katherine's School, Pill Road at the event hosted by Taunton Leisure.
Store Manager for Bedminster-based Taunton Leisure - Bristol, Braam Van Der Walt said: "This is the perfect event for anyone wishing to escape to the great outdoors this summer and is looking for a new tent, or who wishes to get some free expert advice on camping equipment from our professionally trained, resident experts, who collectively have hundreds of years of experience and are, also, very keen campers themselves.
"We'll have more than 40 tents for people to try out on-site ranging from family tents to lightweight ones to bell tents and tipis and a selection of awnings. People who come along can sample a little bit of life under canvas.
"Brand experts from some of our tent suppliers including Vango, Outwell and MSR will also be on hand to offer advice and answer any questions people may have.
"We'll have our range of glamping tents including tipis complete with central warming and cooking stoves and bell tents on display from Tentipi, Robens and Nordisk. We'll also have some lightweight tents from Hilleberg and MSR that would be perfect for expeditions such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, or backpacking or cycle touring trips.
"Our show gives anyone looking for a new tent the chance to see for themselves, for free, how these products fare pitched in their natural habitat, the great outdoors. It is also the perfect chance to compare similar tents side by side. We hope anyone who is planning on going camping this summer comes along to our show to chat to us and to try out our tents."
During the event there will also be a chance to watch the Taunton Leisure team demonstrate its inflatable tents and visitors will be given the opportunity to have a go themselves. The person who can inflate a tent the fastest during the weekend will win one to take home.
Taunton Leisure's expert staff will be on hand to give free advice and tips on the selection and care of tents and camping equipment, and to chat about life in the great outdoors.
"For the more adventurous, we can also help with specialist expedition tents and equipment. There will be exclusive offers on all our tents and accessories throughout the show too."

The Bristol Tent Show event takes place from May 18 until 19, 2019 at St Katherine's School, Pill Road, Bristol. The event runs from 9am until 5.30pm on the Saturday and 9am until 3.30pm on the Sunday. Admission is free.
