Volunteer Centre Yate is based in Yate Library and provides a brokerage service for people interested in volunteering, by helping to place them with opportunities that suit their skills and interests.
The Volunteer Centre is within Yate Library
We also work with local groups and organisations that recruit volunteers to help them develop opportunities for new volunteers.
People volunteer for all kinds of reasons from wanting to meet new people and get more involved in their community, to supporting a specific cause or wishing to learn or enhance skills for career development.
Our Volunteer Centre works in partnership with Young Bristol to deliver Vinvolved South Gloucestershire, part of a national scheme to encourage young people aged 16-25 into volunteering and help develop new roles to meet their interests.
We are also always keen to develop relationships with local businesses and encourage volunteering amongst employees.
Volunteer Centre Yate is a Registered Charity. Our office is within Yate Library and we are open to callers Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 10.30am and Mid-day or by appointment any time during those days. Volunteers and Groups can also visit our website: www.yatevoluntarylink.org.uk
