South Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra presents a night of TV Classics
Music lovers are being invited to join some of South Gloucestershire's finest young musicians as they perform a programme of television classics at St Johns Church, Chipping Sodbury on Friday 18 November.
From the peaceful serenity of Grieg's ‘Morning' (from the Hovis advert) to Saint-Saens' rousing ‘Danse Macabre' (Jonathan Creek), there's something for everyone.
And as it's Children in Need Night, there will be lots of fun for all the family and a few surprises along the way.
The concert marks the culmination of three weeks' rehearsal involving talented musicians from secondary schools across South Gloucestershire and beyond, coached by tutors from South Gloucestershire Council's Music and Arts Service.
The Orchestra arrive in Chipping Sodbury fresh from an acclaimed performance at the recent Music for Youth National Festival.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door, priced £6 adults/£4 concessions/under16s free.
Advance tickets are also available from the Music Service at Little Stoke Primary School. Telephone 01454 863 147 for further details.
