Orchestra to stage concert of contrasting classics in Bristol this Saturday

Bristol Concert orchestra present an intriguing concert this Saturday (3 March) at St George's Bristol at 7.30pm: they will perform Shostakovich's monumental Symphony No.10 and contrasting that, two ‘Hommages à Mozart' - Ibert's so-titled 200th birthday present from 1956, and the wind quartet version of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante with soloists Jessica Mogridge (oboe), Nicholas Shipman (clarinet), Claire Wadsworth (bassoon) and Jamie Thomas (horn), under conductor Stefan Hofkes.
