Growing Weston training provider to take on more staff

Published: 29th May 2019 14:30

A LEADING national training provider based in Somerset is expanding by nearly a third and looks set to create around 20 new jobs by the end of June (2019).

AAA Training, which is based in Weston-super-Mare, provides training and apprenticeships in the hospitality, leisure, health and social care sectors across the UK and works with one of the nation’s largest domiciliary care organisations.

AAA Training’s CEO, David Grant said: “We’ve more than 10 years’ experience as a commercial training business for the health and social care sector, delivering short and accredited courses, and have been focused on building a national footprint within these two sectors.

“During the past 12 months, our workforce has grown from five to 40 staff and we’re now looking to grow again, expanding our national network of industry-trained, experienced and highly qualified Trainer-Assessors, who support Apprentices to achieve nationally recognised standards in the workplace.

“We are currently in the process of launching two new national programmes working with a second national healthcare provider to deliver Level 2 and 3 Apprenticeships and with a further healthcare provider to offer an innovative Customer Service Level 3 programme for Co-ordinators and Branch Managers to fill an identified skills gap.

“These contracts will increase the number of Apprentices we support from 500 to 1,500 in the next 12 months. As a result, we’re building up our team to meet this demand and are looking to appoint six new assessors to cover our work in the North East and London, three customer service trainers, a Curriculum Specialist – Functional Skills and a Commercial Manager to grow our portfolio of short courses and take these to market.

“We’re also working towards becoming a multi-sector training provider, partnering with local employers to develop a new Apprenticeship programme in construction, hospitality or leisure with a cohort of 250 learners.

“All these developments mean we’re expanding rapidly and need to recruit more staff urgently, so anyone interested in finding out about any of our vacancies should email andrew.tregenza@aaatrainingandrecruitment.co.uk or call Andrew on 0345 163 2170.

AAA Training began trading after the management team identified an opportunity to deliver apprenticeships and training in the care sector. It specialises in apprenticeship management and assisting businesses who are subject to the levy.

“We’re on the ESFA’s Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) and organisations trust us to deliver their apprenticeships and the high-quality training they need at all levels for their staff. We work closely with our clients to provide programmes that specifically meet their needs and to assist them in upskilling their existing workforce through the qualification.

“Despite all the myths surrounding them, apprenticeships aren’t just for school leavers seeking a route into employment. They are in fact potentially invaluable to all staff within a business or organisation too.

“We also work closely with national care providers to deliver high quality Regulated Qualification Frameworks (RQF) training and assessments within our Apprenticeship Programme.”

Its experienced nationwide team of trainers and assessors deliver a comprehensive range of courses that run from Level 2 through to Level 5.

Understanding that different providers have varying requirements, the team works with each individually to ensure the most appropriate training solutions are delivered.

This may include an induction programme, which can be used towards a RQF qualification and covers all mandatory training to ensure compliance; training for in-house trainers, so they can deliver the modules themselves; an Apprenticeship Programme specifically designed to allow the reclaiming of the Apprenticeship Levy and access further funding if required, as well as ensuring Care Quality Commission (CQC) with support from AAA Training Solutions’ RQF assessors.

It also ensures organisations fully benefit from the Apprenticeship Levy. To add to this, AAA Training Solutions offers training and qualifications in Leadership and Management.
