IT'S NOT JUST CARS AT FATHERS' CLASSIC DAY OUT
Some of the classic cars at the 2011 Fathers' Classic Day OutSome classic car shows are just for the motoring enthusiast but Greenwood Exhibitions is making sure there will be something for everyone at the Fathers' Classic Day Out being held at Woburn Abbey, Bedfordshire, on Sunday 17th June.
Tickets include entrance to not only the classic motor show where hundreds of stunning cars and motor cycles will be on display along with a wide range of autojumble stands, but also give entry to the wonderful Sculpture Garden, the extensive Antiques Centre, shopping village, and the Abbey attractions.
For the children there will be plenty of amusements and things to do, including a Teddy Bears' picnic with a free goody bag for everyone who brings along their favourite bear. The Ampthill Rock Choir will provide lively musical entertainment throughout the day, while everyone gets to enjoy the dads reliving their playground memories with games of Top Trumps in the arena.
Many classic car clubs will be exhibiting at this ever popular show and will be following the theme of ‘The Royal Family' as they compete for the cash prize awarded for ‘Best Club Stand'.
A Concours d'Elegance competition, held over from the washed-out Bedfordshire Classic Motor Show in early May, will feature the amazing results of the entrants' efforts to present their classic vehicle in the same, or better, condition than it was in when it left the production line all those years ago. You haven't seen ‘clean' until you've seen a ‘concours' machine!
Public entry to Woburn Abbey Deer Park will be £8 for adults, £7 for seniors and £2 for children aged 3-15 years. Gates open at 10am and the show closes at 4pm. Full details are on the Greenwood Exhibitions website: www.classicmotorevents.co.uk.
