Hundreds Of Young People Enjoy Summer Activities
We are only half way through the summer holidays, but already hundreds of young people have been enjoying some of the sports and play activities that are being run by the sport and active lifestyles team at Huntingdonshire District Council.
TrampoliningSports courses and taster sessions have included golf at the John Letters Golf Academy, rowing at Huntingdon Boat Club, trampolining at Rotations Trampolining Club, table tennis at St Neots Table Tennis Club and racketball at Hemingford Sport Academy.
There are still lots to come this summer with athletics, tennis, dodgeball, climbing, sailing, canoeing and more golf and trampolining. In addition to this the team continues to run free activity roadshows every afternoon of the holidays in a variety of towns and villages until 2 September.
RowingCouncillor Tom Sanderson, whose executive responsibilities include sport and active lifestyles, said: "The programme provided by our sport and active lifestyles team provides great opportunities for young people to get active during the school holidays, as well as having the opportunity to try new sports at the clubs own venues."
