12 cadets and 6 members of staff from 2484 (Bassingbourn Squadron) and 2484 (Cambourne) Detached Flight teamed up to raise funds for The East Anglian Air Ambulance Service, Headway and Rotary Club of Royston Trust Fund at a Swimathon hosted by Royston Rotary Club.
The teams where made up of 6 members who swam for an hour completing as many lengths as possible. The staff team where beaten by the younger cadet teams but all had great fun and their efforts where after all for the charity. 2484 Sqn would like to thank the Rotary club for their continued support and we will endeavour to continue supporting them in the future.
Flt Lt Andrew Kyprianou RAFVR(T) said “It was really good to see how many cadets and staff made the effort to help support the Royston Rotary Club in their fund raising efforts for these very worthwhile causes.
