Recently four cadets from 272 (Wisbech) Squadron Air Cadets were recently promoted within the rank structure following lots of hard work on their parts, along with dedication to the squadron and the Air Training Corps.
Two cadets were promoted to the rank of Cadet Corporal. These were Cadet Ross Chadney aged 15 and Cadet Kirsty Alderson aged 16. These new Corporals will add to the existing JNCO team and will now have the task of mentoring cadets more junior to them.
Due to the promotions of the new corporals, two places for Cadet Sergeant were made available. This time round, they went to Cadet Corporal Luke Huggins aged 15 and Cadet Corporal Thomas Woolford also aged 15. These two new Sergeants will have the additional responsibility of each running a flight of cadets on the squadron along with the responsibilities that they have already earned.
All of the recently promoted cadets will have the opportunity to attend training courses in order to help them improve and learn the skills needed to move further up the rank structure at the squadron.
‘I couldn't stop smiling when I was told that I was going to be promoted. It is one of the best moments of my cadet life' Said Cadet Corporal Ross Chadney aged 15.
