What better way to spoil your special dad on Father’s Day on Sunday 17 June than with coveted tickets to the world’s biggest classic motor racing festival?

Moreover, as this summer’s Silverstone Classic (20-22 July 2018) offers unrivalled entertainment for all ages, the entire household can share in the high speed thrills and spills making what's already an unforgettable Father's Day gift all the more memorable. Indeed, taking the generations into account, there’s even a great value Family Weekend Ticket on offer.

No matter what his particular interest, any action-loving dad will be blown away by a visit to the Silverstone Classic for what’s an amazing high-speed trip down Memory Lane. Across three full days of non-stop action, there will be a glittering array of attractions, entertainment and activities, headed by a glorious line-up of more than 20 retro races featuring many of the world’s rarest, most spectacular and valuable historic racing cars.

Ranging from the evocative Grand Prix cars of the 1940s and 1950s to the high-tech machines from the 2000s, the stellar race line-up will deliver some of the most spectacular grids ever seen in Great Britain covering the history of Formula 1, Le Mans, sports and GT cars.

There’ll be a number of famous faces racing, too, with Olympic legend Chris Hoy among a host of stars who will be competing. He will be joined by stars from the ever-popular bumper-bashing BTCC, helping to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the country’s premier race series on a dedicated ‘Tin Top Sunday’.

As if that isn’t enough to put a huge smile on every dad’s face, there will be more than 10,000 classic cars lovingly displayed on the infield ranging from awe-inspiring Lamborghinis and Maseratis to lovable Morgans, MX5s and MGs.
What’s more this summer, several iconic marques including Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari and Jaguar will be putting on huge displays to celebrate important milestones in their histories.

As has become customary, live music will also be a major feature over the unmissable weekend, with major concerts on the evenings of both Friday (20 July) and Saturday (21 July) maintaining the Classic’s ‘Rocking and Racing’ tradition. Grammy award-winners Soul II Soul are topping the Friday night line-up with British reggae and pop legends UB40 featuring Ali, Astro and Mickey headlining on Saturday. These live performances come as part and parcel of the general circuit admission price.

The entertainment does not stop there, either. A vintage fun fair, rides on the JET Big Wheel, Scarf & Goggles pub, aerial displays, hot air balloons, crazy golf, an adrenaline zone, Mike Brewer’s Car Clinic, streetcar shoot-outs, 4x4 experiences, spitfire engine fire ups, an Ace Cafe takeover, test drives, a supercar paddock as well as giant TV screens showing all the on-track action are part of the most remarkable show of the year.

There is even a Shopping Village with exhibitors presenting a wide range of autojumble, automobilia, art, jewellery, books and gifts for everyone.

"The Silverstone Classic is the biggest and best classic motor racing festival; it’s entertaining and evocative in equal measure," said Event Director, Nick Wigley. "There really is something for everyone – that’s why a family day out at the Silverstone Classic is the perfect Father's Day gift for any dad with even the smallest drop of high octane fuel in their veins."

In keeping with the event’s widely acclaimed and great value ‘access all areas’ policy, all tickets (which must be purchased in advance) include free entrance to both racing paddocks and pit complexes, trackside grandstands and live music concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings. Adult admittance is from just £45 and considerable savings are on offer for both families and those festival-goers spending the full weekend at Silverstone.
