The Best Community Christmas Events Happening In Chiswick This Year

Last Christmas, the Magical Lantern Festival at Chiswick House & Gardens helped to transform Chiswick into a bright and beautiful district. The festival mesmerised Chiswick nationals young and old, and created a real sense of community for the third Christmas in a row. Sadly, the festival isn’t coming back to Chiswick this year, but, some of Chiswick’s businesses are hosting a variety of exciting community Christmas events that are sure to capture the imaginations of locals.
Hogarth Health Club’s Santa Run
This year’s Hogarth Health Club’s Santa Run will take place on 7th December. The run is in the aid of the charity, Shelter, and allows members, non-members, children, and even dogs to have fun in their Santa suits. Last year’s run raised more than £2,000, and no doubt the club is hoping to beat this figure this year. A 4.5-mile route is planned, which you can walk or run with other members of the community. Entry costs just £12.50 and a Santa suit, mince pie and mulled wine are included in the price.
St. Paul’s Church Musical Christmas Show
If music is more your thing, then you should head to St. Paul’s Church on 15th December. The church community will be putting on a special musical Christmas show, ‘A Hollywood Christmas,’ for one night only. A sneak peek of the program reveals that audience members will be treated to some old classics, such as 'White Christmas,' as well as some modern Christmas movie favourites from the likes of the Polar Express. In order to put on a memorable show, such as the church’s previous sell-out show, ‘Rock in a Hard Place,’ the stage will need to look amazing. As such, stage lighting hire in London will be used to transform the church and create a captivating feature wall.
Christmas Food Market, The Pavilion
The Sunday Food Market at The Pavilion is a favourite among locals. However, on Sunday 9th December, the food market will take things up a notch, and will be transformed in honour of Christmas. The market will be lit up with Christmas decorations and additional Christmas-themed stalls will be on site. In addition, children will be able to turn their hands to some festive craft, and a magician will be showcasing some stunning tricks during the 4-hour event.
Christmas in Chiswick centres around fun community events that the whole family can get stuck into. Regardless of your age, you can be sure that you’ll find a meaningful yet satisfying event that celebrates the true meaning of Christmas in Chiswick this year.
