Working closely with Cheshire West and Chester Council, The Friends seek to promote Stanney Fields Park and organise community events.
The park has been successful in retaining its Green Flag Award for several years. This is the national benchmark for parks and open spaces. Council staff and Friends work very hard throughout the year to maintain the standards and impress judges.
In order to obtain grant funding for future friends events, the organisation needs to increase membership numbers. If you are interested in becoming a member, it only costs £1 for individuals, £2 for families, and your support will help enable us to organise FREE community activities in the park for residents and visitors to enjoy.
There are several regular events that are held by The Friends, such as the Silver Band Concert & Picnic in July, Park Play Day in August and the Fun Dog Show in September.
AboutMyArea publishes dates for these events in our What's On guide.
