Phillip Bates and his staff at both Phillip Bates & Co Ltd and Phillip Bates & Co Financial Services Ltd stocked a Christmas hamper for which they then sold raffle tickets. The aim was to raise funds for a "Second Skin" suit for local boy Nicholas Ainsworth.
Phillip said: "The raffle was generously supported by our clients, local Neston businesses and members of Neston Rotary Club and raised £593, making a great start towards our target of £2,000 for Nicholas' Second Skin which will be needed in September 2009."
The lucky winner was Sandra Maddox.
In related news, the Rotary Club of Neston raised £2202 through its Christmas collections. Mid Wirral Rotary Club also used the Santa Sleigh to visit Willaston and Parkgate.
