Neston Rotakids Clean Up and Raise £300 for Charity

Members of Neston Primary School's Rotakids group recently raised £300 for two charities - Cancer Research and Scope - by holding a Saturday morning car wash.
The event was organised by the pupils with the support of parents, staff, friends of the school and local Rotarians. The children chose which charities to support and, despite the awful weather on the day, they were delighted to have raised £300 to share between Cancer Research and Scope.
The Rotakids group at Neston Primary School was the first such group to be established in the North-West of England and since the group started the children have raised nearly £3000 for various local, national and international charities.
Headteacher Rob Golding said: "We would like to thank everyone who helped on the day or brought their car along to be washed. The poor weather did not dampen our spirits and we are all very proud of the amount raised on the day, and over the past few years, by our Rotakids."
