Year 6 pupils at Neston Primary School recently enjoyed a workshop led by local professional photographer, and regular AboutMyArea contributor, Bernard Rose.
Bernard gave a short presentation and talked to the pupils about his work, how he developed a love of photography and how the children could improve their own photographs.
Everyone enjoyed Bernard's visit
Rob Golding, Headteacher said: "We are very grateful to Bernard for giving of his time so generously. The children thoroughly enjoyed looking at the impressive images Bernard shared with the class.
"They also had the unique opportunity to take their own photographs, with Bernard coaching and encouraging them. It was a brilliant morning."

The workshop, which was part of a topic on careers and literacy, came about after two pupils - Brooke Jellicoe and Bella Dean (who are both interested in photography) wrote to Bernard asking if he would answer a few questions they had.
Bella said: "We were delighted to receive a reply from Bernard and it was fantastic when he offered to come and talk to our class. I have learnt so much."
Brooke and Bella requested the visit from Bernard
Speaking after the event, Bernard said: "I was impressed with the enthusiasm shown by the pupils and they asked some very good questions about photography.
"I talked about using the most important piece of photographic equipment which is the EYE and to look around the world all the time for opportunities to capture great moments.
"I demonstrated how I shoot a portrait, using Mr Golding as my willing model, and how to organise a group shot for school award presentations. We then did some practical work using their own cameras.
"It was clear they had embraced the ideas I talked about during the presentation and I am hoping they will be inspired to now be more creative with their photography."
Bernard is on the other side of the camera for once.
