Youths Arrested Following Robberies in Neston

Published: 31st January 2018 08:06

Over the past seven days there have been two offences of robbery reported to police in Neston.

Police are currently investigating the offences, which occurred on Monday 22nd and Monday 29th January 2018 .

Both incidents were committed by the same individuals. All parties involved are young people under the age of 15 years. Three have been arrested, with further investigations being completed by Cheshire Constabulary CID Officers.

Cheshire Police would like to reassure the community of Neston that the suspects arrested will be put before the court once all available evidence has been obtained. Police will be increasing their patrols within the area over the coming weeks.

PC Thomas Grant said: "We are of the understanding that many young people have knowledge of the incidents and are not willing to come forward due to being called a ‘grass'.

"I would like to reiterate that police need the help from members of the local community and parents to support police and bring the suspects to justice, helping to prevent any further incidents.

"People can talk in confidence to local officers (call 101) or contact Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111, anonymously."

Hi Gaynor,

What response did you get when you reported it?

I would phone the local chip shop Gaynor, or maybe try the greengrocers. If that fails you could always report it to the police by callling the non emergency number 101.

Sorry for the sarcasm but all the time we hear of issues like this and when you speak with the local police team no-one has bothered reporting it. For action to be taken people need to report it to the local police team, and a quick call to 101 will do that.

You need to log in before you can do that! It's only a quick registration process to join the AMA network and completely free.
