What is the point? 20 MPH around me in Little Neston but nobody takes any notice and I have yet to see Police enforcing it!

The point is.....

A driver keeping to the 20mph limit makes all other cars following keep to that limit

I take notice.

If an accident occurred and the driver was doing above the limit of 20 mph the penalty would be much increased.

Police hardly enforce anything anymore so why not make it a 50 mph speed limit.

think about it!!!!!

It would make more sense if the Neston High Street and Parkgate road were 20 MPH to enable safer crossing at the Cross for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

This is welcome news, although it is ineffective if not policed. We certainly need Twenty’s Plenty signs on the Paraade, especially in the area close to Nichols ice cream shop where pedestrians cross engrossed in their cornets, oblivious to traffic

Neston High street around the cross area should definitely be made 20mph. wonder if there is a reason for not doing it? It is very unsafe emerging from by Tesco with cars darting up from the left. As for the roads in Parkgate, The Parade yes 20mph, but the proposal to make 40mph on those now listed seems a waste of money and more roadside clutter. All those roads would be difficult to go fast along anyway. However, one dangerous decision last year was to make the Runnel 40mph, so now people think they can drive at 40mph down there. Far too fast and very dangerous when you meet a 40mph motorist at a pinch point.

The Runnel and Boathouse Lane could do with further restrictions. Both of these roads suffer a fair share of reckless drivers.
