John Allcock, on behalf of WBRUA, said: "We have become aware that TfW Rail Services is likely to introduce 4 additional services from Wrexham to Bidston and back to Wrexham on Sundays from 9 December 2018.
"The WBRUA has been campaigning for a better service on the line and welcomes these additional services on a Sunday. An early proposal though was for one of the new northbound services to run fast between Wrexham General and Bidston, stopping only at Penyffordd and Shotton.
"The WBRUA now understands that the timetable will be tweaked so this train, like all other services on the line, will call at all stations including Neston.
"These additional trains on a Sunday are the first step towards a more frequent reliable service on the line which the WBRUA has been pushing for many years. Next year new 3 coach diesel/battery hybrid trains will appear on the line and by December 2021 the weekday service should have increased to two trains an hour."

Seems to me that more trains is a good thing.
Wales are paying for this.
We are benefitting from most of the improvements.
The fast train that isnt presently scheduled to call at Neston gets to Bidston in time to provide an hourly interval service back to Wrexham, and may be also be running fast in order to create a connection from Liverpool and fit in between the West Kirby bound trains.
Think Neston has done well out of this although we must keep trying to improve things.
Well done Transport for Wales,
