The trustees, who must be willing and able to act as company directors, provide essential strategic support to the charity. Specifically, we are seeking one trustee with Business Finance and Financial Management experience and at least one more with experience of one or more of the following: Strategic Development and/or Marketing Strategy.
Most importantly we are looking for people who care about our community and have energy and enthusiasm to support the organisation on our journey to become 'the first choice for people to access local community services'.
These roles are strategic, not operational and there is no expectation of our trustees to take on any operational responsibility. Charity Trustees cannot be paid, though reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.
Our board set the strategy for the organisation and have been involved in all of the developments for the Charity since it was established 12 years ago, from the planning and building of Neston Community Youth Centre to the most recent developments - leading to a massive increase in our reach and impact over the past 3 years. We are currently planning our next, exciting phase of development and recognise that specific skills and knowledge will support this process.
