Silver Mail is on its Way in Neston

Pupils at Neston Primary School have been busy writing letters and drawing pictures for older people in the community.
Zaria Shreef, Neston Angels co-ordinator, is pictured with pupils at Neston Primary School, posting Silver Mail.
Thanks to the help of Zaria Shreef (Community Activities Co-ordinator at Neston Community and Youth Centre) the post will be delivered by Neston Angels - a group of befrienders, who visit older people and provide company and conversation.
Neston Primary's ‘Silver Mail' project was the idea of Rob Golding, the school's Headteacher. Rob said: "I heard Dame Esther Rantzen talking about the charity ‘Silver Line' on the radio. The charity provides support for older people. I was aware of the great work that Neston Angels do, so I thought we could get our pupils and staff to brighten someone's day by sending them a letter or picture."
Neston Angels will now deliver the letters over the next few weeks. The pupils hope that the one or two of the recipients will write back to them.
