Learning About Ladies Day at Neston Primary School

Pupils in Year 2 at Neston Primary School recently organised their own mini Ladies Day parade.
Following lessons on the history and traditions of 'the annual procession, which is organised by Neston Female Society on the first Thursday in June, the pupils decided to create their own banners, medals, flowers and staffs.
The children then paraded around the school yard wearing their 'Sunday best'. The parade was led by a band of musicians.
Class teacher Margie Robinson said: "Year 2 had a wonderful morning preparing for our Ladies Day Parade.
"The sun shone, the banners were held high, the band played, the 'ladies' looked amazing with the flower staffs and everyone enjoyed their refreshments!"
