Neston's Spooky Halloween Market - The Results!
Published: 5th November 2019 12:41 |
Neston's Halloween-themed Market took place on Friday 1st November and a fair few strange characters were spotted wandering about, some in fancy dress and others who had visited the free face painter.
The very scary looking Neston Mayor, Cllr Dominic Roberts, and Deputy Mayor Cllr Christine Warner, who had flown in on her broomstick especially for the occasion, were joined by the Junior Mayor and Deputy Junior Mayor for the judging of the trader's pumpkin carving competition.
1st prize was awarded to The Great British Bakehouse
2nd Prize to Neston Fish & Seafoods
3rd Prize went to the Liverpool Cheese Company (see top photo above). The Council were delighted that the pumpkin was put to good use:
Entertainment was provided by Hip & Harmony's 64 N'Ukes, who were raising money for Help for Heroes. There were activities for children including free face painting, Halloween biscuit decorating provided by the Wooden Spoonful and a craft activity laid on by the Girl Guides.
It was also a ‘Foodie Friday' week and the basement food hall was packed full of tasty treats to compliment the street food traders and regular food and other traders on the Market Square.
An unusual table display from Rich Coffee!
A lot of fun was had by all, on a very autumnal Friday Market. Neston Town Council would like to thank all those who joined in the fun.
Bluebonnet Sweets' stall staffed by imposters!
A very creative entry from Garden, Home Art and Crafts F S & S Ltd's stall.
This week's Market
Trader of the Week at the next market on Friday 8 November is Brynes Kids' Clothing. Michael has the best selection of adorable kids clothing available. His clothing comes from top stores but at a fraction of the price.
Changing with the seasons, you can find clothes for girls and boys, and in sizes ranging from infants to kids 12-13. Right now he has winter pajama sets and warm onesies as well as thermal socks and hats - some great Christmas gift ideas right there!
