Parkgate Primary School triumph over 23 other schools in Borough Swimming Gala

Parkgate Primary School emerged as the overall winners of the Ellesmere Port & Neston Primary and Junior Schools Swimming Gala this week.
The event took place on Monday May 19th, organised by Ellesmere Port Amateur Swimming Club, and was contested by 24 schools including the following from CH64:
Bishop Wilson, Neston Primary, Parkgate Primary, St Winefride's RC Primary, Willaston Primary & Woodfall Primary.
A shield was presented to Parkgate Primary School which they will hold for the next year. In addition, trophies were presented to the best girls team (St Mary of the Angels, Ellesmere Port) and best boy's team (Meadow Primary, Ellesmere Port).

Spokesperson Mrs Shirley Cooke said: "St Mary of the Angels had a very strong girls team, and Meadow Primary a very strong boys team, but Parkgate had the most balanced team, which has led to their success overall."
In keeping with previous years, the winners and runners-up will be invited to compete in the Wirral Schools "Grand Finals" in June.
