Every Thursday in August, the Friends of Lees Lane Ponds are hosting Pond Dipping and Mini-beast hunting activities, to relieve holiday boredom for those curious about mini-beasts.
The pond dipping will take place from the staging overlooking the ponds. We have a range of nets, trays and magnifiers to get a really closeup look at the pondlife creatures. Camera probes available for viewing underwater!
This year we are expanding to lead a hunt for mini-beasts which live in the woodlands around the ponds. We also have butterfly nets available.
Children need to be supervised by a responsible adult.
