Neston Public Realm Improvements 2014 - Photo Diary Part 8
|Published: 11th April 2014 08:05|
Works are continuing under 4 way temporary signals until Sunday 13th April when a full road closure will be in place for 5 days.
The closure is required in order to carry out the carriageway resurfacing works and completion of the paving to the crossing locations.
Full details of the road closures and diversionary routes can be found here.
On the original plan of the works and in various meetings since, it had been stated that the final road closures would be for the central resurfacing taking place from 13th to 17th April. However, since then there have been mixed messages coming from Cheshire West and Chester Council. Neston & District Chamber of Trade has communicated its members' view that there should be no further traffic management after this date, but there has been no reply as yet.
This week, work continued to complete the pavement replacement in the High Street and on Brook Street. Work also continued on granite setts in the carriageways.
Here are this week's photos, courtesy of Rob Clive.

The Lighter Side...
Is that a little old lady from days gone by, keeping an eye on this new fangled project?
Gosh, that's one workman who doesn't know his own strength!
This is Mark. Nice to see someone cleaning up on Grand National Day!
Great minds think alike?
I'm not exactly sure if the lady wanted to go into this shop, but in she was turfed. After all, the boys have a job to do....
