Our first installment of old newspaper clippings about the Neston area proved very popular. Now, thanks again to John Cartlidge, here is another crop that all make very interesting reading.

This next one is very old, it's from the Chester Courant of 10 June 1817, rendering some of the text quite hard to read, but persevere, it's worth it for a great story! Maybe this is a custom that could be revived for the Village Fair???
