Read All About It - Neston Newspaper Clippings from Days Gone By - Part 2

Our first installment of old newspaper clippings about the Neston area proved very popular.  Now, thanks again to John Cartlidge, here is another crop that all make very interesting reading.

This next one is very old, it's from the Chester Courant of 10 June 1817, rendering some of the text quite hard to read, but persevere, it's worth it for a great story!  Maybe this is a custom that could be revived for the Village Fair???

And finally for this week, from the Western Times, 7 May 1904:

Hi Tricia,

I'm really pleased you are enjoying these items. I welcome suggestions for ‘search terms’ be it a persons name, a place, date, or event. Perhaps the name of a family member resident locally in the period since 1750 who might have appeared in the news.

Either post here or email to john@johncartlidge.com
