Mostyn House Development - Photo Diary Part 5

The development of the Mostyn House site in Parkgate reached a milestone last week, with the completion of one of the first houses.
First new house completed.
The scaffolding has been removed and the garden already landscaped ready for visitors over the coming weeks. It looked like there was still some work being carried out on the interior fit out, but the main structure of the building looks complete.
As far as I can tell only half of the site for the new build houses has been developed, with the other half used for storage and parking for the construction workers. Already though the the original structures are being hidden by new properties.
As part of the re-submitted planning application it was made clear that there had to be an unimpeded line of site to the original buildings. So for example the remaining building in the middle of the site will be visible from the entrance to Grenfell Park.
There will also have to be clear lines of site to the Chapel and main school building itself and the 5 story tower will always loom over the site as a reminder of what was once there.
Work continues on connecting the utilities and work is also beginning on the approaches to the site, with a section of road to be widened and new paths to be installed.
New roof for an old building.
The 5 story tower still visible despite the number of new buildings.
Work continues to connect utilities.
