My name is Edgar Jones. I was Neston born and bred and now live in Cape Town, having moved here when I was 22 years of age.

Neston for Cape Town.
I went to Neston Primary School with Polly Hodgson and Granny Reese, our teachers were Mr & Mrs Llewellyn and Mr Exton. I passed my 11 plus and went to Wirral Grammar for 5 years
I played football for Parkgate Rovers, Marshlands, Ness Nomads and Neston Nomads. Names I played with were Tubby Fewtrel, Terry Woodhouse, Ray Garner,Herb Gerrard and Mick Williams.
I was captain of the Bellringers at the Parish Church with Mr East as Vicar and Bishop Tubbs as Curate. Henry Norman was also there with me. Remember Halls Cake Shop at the Cross and Old Tim Grimes Hide out at the Bus Stop?
My Father Joe Jones built Knowles Edge near Frank Norman at the bridge on Marshlands Rd which was originally the brick field.
I am coming back to Neston next year for a visit. Any chance of a Reunion with my mates from 1962?
