Your Photos - Winter 2016/17

Published: 7th March 2017 09:32

We love to receive photos from local people to publish on the pages of AboutMyArea Neston.

You decide what to photograph - whether it's a special occasion, a local landmark, or just something or somewhere that has caught your eye.

You can see previous months' galleries here .

If you would like to send us a photo or photos, please contact us by email. Or, you can post them on our Facebook page and we will pick them up from there. Photos must be a minimum of 500 pixels wide.

When a new photo is added, it will be placed at the top of the article, which will be boosted so that it appears in 'Latest' on the home-page. That way you will know there is at least one new photo in a gallery, possibly more, to delight your eyes.

You can also submit photos for the 2018 Neston Calendar. Details here.

Another lovely bird shot from Roy Wilson, this time a Stonechat, spotted at the marsh. Apparently it's about the size of a robin:

This from Roy Wilson on 2 March 2017:

I took this photo of a Waxwing at the Boathouse car park yesterday morning. They are only here during the winter months, so will be leaving very soon to Northern Scandinavia. They have been spotted around West Kirby and Irby areas, plus here in Parkgate. They eat up to three times their own body weight in berries per day.

From Sharon Meadows, taken at Breezehill Road in Neston on December 16 - what a fabulous sky!

From Roy Wilson: "On my walk along the Wirral Way, I saw this brightly coloured ‘bauble' hanging off a branch.
Why do people do this?"  Why, indeed... such a shame.

Your photos

Roy Wilson spotted what he calls 'the saddest Christmas stocking ever' during a walk along Wood Lane. Awwww.

Two gorgeous shots from Roy Wilson here, taken at the end of November down at the marsh:

Love these pictures. used to live in Little Neston till 1968. I just love to see the wirral. Would love it if it was printed on where the picture is of, as I don't always know and obviously the place has changed too.
keep up the good photography, it is much appreciated.
