Home-grown hero Cal Crutchlow will be hoping to build on his three MotoGP race wins in his career so far, as he attempts to rival World Champion Marc Marquez and challengers such as Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo and Maverick Vinales. With Moto2 and Moto3 supporting the main race action, there’s plenty of adrenalin-fuelled racing to watch.

Family-friendly entertainment throughout the weekend includes a Funfair, Segways, have a go bikes, live artists, face painting, football darts, zorbing, a free Barber shop for a trim - young or old, diehard fan or new to bike racing, there is something for everyone.

The Manufacturer Zone lets the fans get up close to the leading manufacturers and see a host of new motorcycles from favourite brands including Yamaha, Ducati, Triumph, Suzuki and electric trials bikes made for children from British firm Oset.

Evening entertainment rounds off each day of the weekend with Legacy playing on Friday, Grammy Award winning Clean Bandit supported by Duke on Saturday and Toploader on Sunday.

Fans also have a chance to get up close and personal to their favourite riders, with a free Saturday pit walk, and a track walk on Sunday evening for race goers to celebrate the biggest bike race on British soil.

Silverstone's first motorcycle Grand Prix event was held in 1977, and also happened to the first to be held on the British mainland. Prior to 1977, the British round of the World Championship had been held since 1949 on the Isle of Man TT circuit. From 1988 to 2009 the World Championship racing moved to Donington Park, but returned to Silverstone in 2010 after the 23 years break.

The UK has produced some of the best riders in the history of the World Championship. From Mike Hailwood and John Surtees to Phil Read and the legendary Barry Sheene. A number of Britons, such as Cal Crutchlow, Sam Lowes, John McPhee and Tom Booth-Amos and Jake now represent their country in MotoGP and the supporting Moto2 and Moto3 classes.

Tickets for the 2019 GOPRO BRITISH GRAND PRIX MOTOGP™ start at just £15.00 (Friday) and children under 10 years go free.
