Brief details of this local group dedicated to promoting and improving the park.
Participants in the 2009 Great North Walk hosted by Herrington Country Park.
They meet every second month at the Country Park Visitor Centre, at 5.30pm on the third Wednesday of each month.

There is a warden for the Park, Ian Graham, who can be contacted on 0191 534 8526. He organises a range of environmental events, as well as healthy walks in the park every other Tuesday at 10am.
There is also a programme of special events in Herrington Country Park over the summer.
