New Cardiomyopathy UK Cumbria Support Group

A new group is launching serving Cumbria in 2017, hosted by Jo Franks and volunteers Angela and Louise.
This group seeks to provide information about cardiomyopathy, opportunities to meet others affected by the condition and the chance to have your questions about cardiomyopathy answered by specialised medical professionals. Anyone is welcome, including supporters, family and friends.
Venue locations will vary in attempt to ensure the group is accessible to as many people as possible.
Wednesday 1st March - 7-9pm
Penrith Evergreen Community Centre, Bluebell Ln, Penrith CA11 7LH
Speaker Julie Goodfellow, Genetics Cardiac nurse, will be speaking about family testing and genetics.
There will also be plenty of time to meet others with cardiomyopathy and their family members over free refreshments, as well as take part in a group discussion and Q & A session about cardiomyopathy.
Saturday 10th June - 2-4pm - venue tbc
Cathy Stark will be sharing her personal story of living with cardiomyopathy. There will also be an informal time to get to know others over free refreshments and the opportunity to take part in two group discussions one for people with cardiomyopathy and another for family members, supporters and carers.
