Students, staff, parents and governors at one of the region's leading independent co-educational schools are celebrating yet another year of outstanding GCSE results with a 100 per cent pass rate.
A total of 24 students at Ockbrook School studied a combination of GCSE and International GCSE examinations. Sixty-eight per cent of all exams taken achieved grades B/Grade 6 or higher.
Sixteen-year-old Joella Hinsley from Beeston receives special recognition, achieving outstanding results in 10 subjects, all at A*-A/Grades 9-8. Local student Jonathan Bailey, 16 from Bramcote, is also over the moon, achieving nine passes at A*-A/Grades 9-8.
Headmaster, Tom Brooksby said: "I congratulate Year 11 on their GCSE results and wish them all the very best for their next steps in education.
"Ockbrook School is consistently placed among the top schools in the region's performance tables and is in the top tier of independent schools nationally. We are large enough to boast a broad curriculum with specialist staff members and modern facilities, yet small enough to retain a personal approach to teaching in which our students flourish."
With 78 per cent of exam papers graded A*-C/Grades 9-5, students have strong foundations on which to make the transition into their A-levels.
GCSE results at Ockbrook School:
100% pass rate
68% at Level 6 or higher
