Sample life under canvas at Exeter's free Tent Show

A FREE Tent Show is taking place in Exeter next month (April 6 until 8, 2019) offering people the chance to see equipment in its natural environment - the great outdoors.
One of the largest ranges in the South West will be on display from April 6 until 8 at Westpoint, including family, lightweight and bell tents, as well as tipis.
Nick Baron, who is the Store Manager at Taunton Leisure - Exeter, on Fore Street in the city, explained: "This is the ideal event for anyone looking for a tent for the summer. At the show they will be able to see a huge and diverse collection of tents, erected side-by-side, in one place, so they can compare them, see them in action and even get inside them.
"We'll have our range of glamping tents including tipis, complete with central warming and cooking stoves, and bell tents on display from Tentipi, Robens and Nordisk. We'll also have some lightweight tents from Hilleberg and MSR that would be perfect for expeditions such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, or backpacking or cycle touring trips.
"We're all keen campers and outdoor enthusiasts here at Taunton Leisure - Exeter and the team are trained in all the kit needed for anyone planning an adventure in the great outdoors. We'll be on hand to offer lots of free advice to help make tent buying straightforward and easy. We're here to help find the right tent for you!
"Assisting our professionally trained, resident experts, who collectively have hundreds of years of experience, will be brand experts from some of our tent suppliers including Vango, Outwell, Hilleberg and MSR. They will be on hand to offer advice and answer any questions visitors may have.

During the event there will also be a chance to win a Vango Amalfi Air 500 with a footprint, skyshield and skyline worth £722.
Taunton Leisure's expert staff will be on hand to give free advice and tips on the selection and care of tents and to chat about life in the great outdoors.
"Prospective campers can choose from a selection of tents from well-known brands including Outwell, Vango, Robens, Hilleberg, Tentipi, Nordisk and MSR. For the more adventurous, we can also help with specialist expedition tents and equipment. There will be exclusive offers on all our tents and accessories throughout the show too."
