Hi all, I wonder if you have noticed a difference in the logo above this piece. Bridging Communities decided to commission our own logo design as we recently realised that we may not have received permission to use the picture in our original logo. Of course this is also a really good time for this as we are sending out invitations and publicity to our celebration events.
Hopefully all of you will receive your own personal invitation to our events, but just in case you don't, we would like to invite you:
- To our celebration Service at Parkstone United Reformed Church on the 2nd of November at 3.00pm for tea, coffee and cake with the service beginning at 3.30pm. Jeff and Jean will both be taking part on your behalf. We will also launch our Living Histories project at this service
- To our Community Quiz Night at the King Charles Pub in Thames Street on the 18th of September at 7.30pm. There will be a charge of £1.00 per head but that money will be used to provide the prizes, and there will be teams of 4. Ian Knight's nephew is organising this event with all the usual quiz type questions whilst Edna and other from the management team are organising three rounds on Poole, past present and future. It would be great if there was at least one Longfleet United Reformed Church team.
- It would be great to see all of you at these events which have been organised to celebrate the first two years of our project,
Best Wishes Alison.
