New CEO for Encore Care Homes

Encore Care Homes has appointed Rachel Dryden as the company's chief executive officer to continue to position Encore as the leading care provider in the south.

With more than 14 years' experience in the care sector, Rachel joins the Bournemouth-based care group, having previously overseen a group of care homes in Scotland and Yorkshire. During her time with the company, Rachel introduced a programme that established the homes as the leading care homes in their areas and reduced staff turnover by promoting a positive, collaborative culture.

In Rachel's new role, she is responsible for bringing teams together and uniting Encore with common purpose and values. Rachel understands and champions the importance of communication in fostering a positive, engaged culture. She believes in empowering others and making a business a great place to work.

Rachel said: "I am so pleased to join the team at Encore and bring with me my experience of leading teams and developing initiatives to promote a positive culture where staff are empowered to thrive at work. I'm excited about Encore's vision and our plans for further development. We are building the very best care organisation in the south of England; providing much needed high quality, person centred care for the elderly population, as well as rewarding careers for our staff. As we are a small but growing organisation at Encore, we have the opportunity to make changes and adapt quickly. Encore manages three specialist residential, nursing and dementia care homes across Dorset and Hampshire. Great Oaks in Bournemouth, Fairmile Grange in Christchurch, and Hamble Heights in Fareham are all part of an established family of care homes managed by Encore. Oakdale, Encore's fourth home, opens in Poole in summer 2019.
